Hyper Plan v2.10.6 released
Hyper Plan v2.10.6 is now available for Windows and Mac. This release adds a number of improvements to Hyper Plan v2.10.3 (Windows) and v2.10.5 (Mac), including:
- Hyper Plan is now a 64 bit application on Windows.
- Hyper Plan is now a universal binary on Mac, containing both Intel and ARM (M series) binaries.
- Updated Windows installer.
- Updated underlying libraries.
- Various bug fixes and minor improvements.

Hyper Plan is now 64 bit on Windows
Previously, Hyper Plan was a 32 bit application on Windows. This means that it could run natively on 32 bit versions of Windows and in emulation on 64 bit versions of Windows.
Now that very few people are still using 32 bit Windows, we have switched Hyper Plan to a 64 bit application. This should mean it works better on recent Windows operating systems and will continue to work if 32 bit emulation is ever withdrawn by Microsoft. However, the latest release won’t run on 32 bit versions of Windows, If you have an old 32 bit version of Windows, you can still use Hyper Plan v2.10.3.
Hyper Plan is now a universal binary on Mac
Previously, Hyper Plan was an Intel binary. This means that it could run natively on Intel Macs and in emulation on ARM (M series) Macs using Rosetta 2 emulation.
Now that Apple have stopped making Intel Macs, we have switched Hyper Plan to a universal (fat) binary. Meaning that the installer contains both Intel and ARM binaries. This should mean it works better on recent Mac operating systems and will continue to work on ARM Macs when Rosetta 2 support is withdrawn (currently planned for 2027). If you have an Intel Mac, v2.10.6 should still work fine.
The future for Hyper Plan
We love Hyper Plan and use it all the time ourselves. We have lots of ideas for how we could improve it further in v3. However, Hyper Plan is in a really tough market with loads of competition. This makes it hard for us to justify spending the significant effort that would be required to produce Hyper Plan v3. So, for now, we are concentrating our efforts on our other products.
Perhaps there will be a Hyper Plan v3 one day. We make no promises. But we hope that this release will allow customers to keep using Hyper Plan v2 for many years to come.
Our other products
While things have been quiet with Hyper Plan, we have been working hard on Easy Data Transform and PerfectTablePlan.
In May 2024 we released v7 of Perfect Table Plan, our event seating planner for Windows and Mac. It does pretty much everything you can think of for event seating: guest list, floor plan, seat assignment, seating chart, place cards, reporting and more. Perfect Table Plan was 20 years old in January 2025!
In October 2024 we released v2 of Easy Data Transform, our data wrangling software for Windows and Mac. It allows you to clean, merge, split, deduplicate, transform and analyse Excel, CSV, JSON XML and other data, without coding. We are really pleased with how far Easy Data Transform has come since the v1 release in 2019.
